Because of limited space on the ship, most crew members share cabins. Sharing a room may be a new and different experience. It gives you the opportunity to meet different people and make a life long friendship, it also requires a lot of mutual patience, understanding and respect. Since your cabin is your new home while onboard, take care of it as if it was your own home, clean and tidy at all times. The ship provides bed linen and towels. All equipment must be treated with care. Also, please inform the responsible officer if any work or maintenance is required. It is not permitted to take any guest equipment such as towels, glasses, etc. to your cabin. Similarly, it is forbidden to take food from the mess rooms, pantries, galley or dining rooms to the crew quarters. Also, do not keep or store any dishes or glasses in your cabins. Several countries may fine the ship for finding any fruits, nuts and similar items in crew cabins and you will be held responsible. In addition, the Staff Captain, together with some of the ship's officers will carry out inspections of the crew cabins on a regular basis. Any violation of these rules will lead to disciplinary action. It is not permitted to take guests to your cabin. Any crew member found bringing a guest into his or her cabin might receive disciplinary actions. The modification of fixed equipment, furnishings and electrical installations, is strictly prohibited. Due to fire hazard, any electrical appliances must be checked with the responsible officer before being used in the cabin. |
