The Captain (Master) is the highest authority on board. He oversees the three main departments of the ship: - Deck - Engine - Hotel The Staff Captain oversees the deck department and besides navigational aspects, he is also charge of security, dicipline, safety, the infirmary and sanitation. The Chief Engineer is responsible for all technical aspects on a ship. The Hotel Director/Manager oversees all hotel and guest related matters. The following departments come under the Hotel Director: - Bars - Casino - Crew areas - Dining-rooms and restaurants - Entertainment - Galley (kitchen) - Giftshops (boutiques) - Hair salon and spa - Hotel provisions - Housekeeping - Laundry - Photographers - Provision - Reception/front desk and purser's department - Sport and fitness - Tour department |
